CRAFTS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING SCHEME(CITS) - 2022-23
National Skill Training Institute(W), Noida established by Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, offers Craft Instructor Training under CITS of one year duration for various trades.
Training of Craft Instructors is the mandated responsibility of DGT and It has been operational since the inception of the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS). Comprehensive training both in skills and training methodology is imparted to the instructor trainees to make them conversant with techniques of transferring hands-on skills, to train skilled manpower for the industry.

Objective: These Courses are to train the Vocational Instructors of various Industrial Training Institutes / Centres and other training establishment.
Combination of Subjects: The following subjects are covered.
- Trade Technology (Comprising of Basic & Advanced components of trade practice and theory)
- Engineering Technology (Comprising of Workshop Calculations & Science and Engg. Drawing)
- Vocational Science & Calculation / Soft Skills
- Training Methodology (Comprising of Teaching Practice and Principles of Teaching)
Start of session:1st August of every year.
Selection: Admission is done through All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) which is conducted centrally by DGT HQ. The link is http://nimionlineadmission.in Or http://dgt.gov.in
Eligibility for Admission: NCVT certificate in the relevant trade or Diploma / Degree from a recognized Board of Technical Education/University or Equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates deputed by Govt. / Pvt. ITIs However, private candidates meeting the above requisites are also considered for admission subject to the availability of seats, on order of merit.
Admission & Award of Certificate: Candidates can enroll for the above programmes for one year. A candidate has to secure 60% Sessional marks in Theory and Practical and also have a minimum of 80% attendance. On possessing the above requisites, candidates will be allowed to appear for the final examination conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in June / July every year. On passing the prescribed exam, trainees will be awarded the instructor training Certificate from NCVT.

Hostel: Hostel facilities are available for trainees on payment of Rs. 100/- per month as Hostel Rent and Rs. 50/- as Hostel service charge. Hostel Caution money Rs. 125/- per session (Refundable) are also to be deposited for availing hostel. Messing charges extra to be borne by the candidates.
Games: Outdoor Games & Open Gym facilities are available.
Working Hours: From 09.00 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break on all working days (Monday to Friday).
Attendance: Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Trade Test to be held at the end of the course.
